The tournament is played with 10 girls‘ and 10 boys’ teams. The 10 teams are divided into 2 groups, which each play 4 group games. The group winners are set for the semi-finals, while the second and third-placed teams play a quarter-final.
Fair play is very important in curling, and the Spirit of Curling is very much alive at the EJCT tournament in Baden. The respective skips will choose the fairest players. An award as an expression of fair play between the players and by the players.
The tournament will be played according to the international curling rules over at least 6 ends. There will also be a 5-minute break after 4 ends. The total playing time is limited to 1 hour and 55 minutes for 7 ends. 4 games are guaranteed, if successful, there may be more. Tournament results will be included in the WCT ranking and points will be awarded according to the strength of the field.
Broadcasting
At least one game per round will be streamed and/or broadcast on linear TV on Swiss-Sports TV. Results will be published live on CurlingZone.com and in the Rinkmaster.
