Boys Tournament
10 teams will play in the EJCT tournament for boys. The level of the participating teams is deliberately taken into account. International experience, successes and the WCT ranking can be used as admission criteria. Our goal is to have a competitive field of participants. The game will be played according to the international curling rules (no tick, 5 stone free guard) over at least 6 ends. There will also be a 5-minute break after 4 ends. The total playing time is limited to 1 hour and 55 minutes for 7 ends. 4 games are guaranteed, but if we are successful, there could be more. Tournament results will be included in the WCT ranking and points will be awarded according to the strength of the field. At least one game per round will be streamed and/or broadcast on linear TV on Swiss-Sports TV. Results will be published live on CurlingZone.com and in Rinkmaster. Teams are asked to refer to these sources via social media before and during the tournament and to use the hashtags: #ejctbaden #curling. During the tournament, pictures will also be taken and made available to the players for use on social media. A link for downloading will be distributed during the team meeting. All teams are also invited to the players’ banquet on Friday evening. The entry fee is CHF 500 and is to be paid into our account at the latest one week before the tournament.
Purse
The prize money will be CHF 3’500 and will be distributed as follows:
Winner:
Winner: CHF 1’500
2nd place: CHF 1’000
3rd place: CHF 600
4th place: CHF 400
The prize money will be transferred to the corresponding team bank account and will not be paid out on the spot.
Food
Our curling restaurant will provide a buffet for the players at a reduced price during the tournament. Registration is requested in advance of the tournament and will be sent to all participating teams after confirmation.
Fair Play Trophy
In addition, the skip will choose and award the fairest player of the tournament. The corresponding player will receive a special prize.
